Watford City woman killed in accident on Hwy. 85

On July 17, at 2:40 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, a 2019 white Ford Edge, driven by Stephanie Ceynar of Watford City, struck an oncoming semi.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Ceynar lost control of her Ford while travelling southbound on Highway 85, one mile north of Fairfield and entered the northbound lane of traffic.
She collided head-on with a 2012 Western Star semi-truck, driven by Alfred Toungberg of Cleburn, Texas.
A fire ignited due to the crash and burned both vehicles.
Ceynar was pronounced dead at the scene.
Youngberg sustained serious injuries and was flown to an emergency room in Bismarck.
The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. In addition to the Highway Patrol, Billings County Sheriff’s Department, Billings County Fire/Rescue, and Belfield Ambulance responded to the scene.
