Williston PD investigating early morning homicide

At approximately 1:30 p.m. today, the Williston Police Department (WPD) issued statement on its Facebook Page informing community members it is actively investigating a homicide.
According to the release, at approximately 5:39 a.m., the WPD responded to a report of a male with a gunshot wound in the 300 Block of 5th St. W.
Upon arrival, law enforcement pronounced the individual deceased.
The WPD stated that this was a targeted incident and there is no elevated threat to the public.
As of 1:30 p.m., the suspects involved have been identified, but not apprehended. The WPD is actively investigating this homicide and has encouraged anyone with information related to the incident, to contact the Williston Police Department at 701-557-1212.
