Anne Tjelde

Anne J. Tjelde, 85 of Williston, most recently of Puyallup, Wash., passed away at the Beamo Adult Family Home in Puyallup on Friday evening, Nov. 23, 2018.
She resided in Williston, N.D., from 1933-2012. She then wintered in Tacoma, Wash., from 2012-2013 before moving permanently in the summer of 2014 to live with her nephew, Steve Tjelde (Denise).
Ms. Tjelde was born on Aug. 18, 1933, in Alexander, N.D., on the farm of Jorgan and Hilda (Knudsen) Tjelde. She was baptized on Nov.12, 1933, at St. Olaf Church, an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America from 1826-1969. Anne was a member of First Lutheran Church in Williston for many years.
Anne provided domestic services for those in need, and cared for her ailing parents and sister prior to their passing.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leif A. Tjelde (2010) his spouse Carol is still living, and Alf L. Tjelde (2012); one sister, Clarice A. (Tjelde) Johnsrud (2013).
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Carol Tjelde; 12 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and 25 great-great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service celebrating Anne’s life will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 8, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Nameless Cemetery rural Cartwright, North Dakota. Rev. Brian Knutson will officiate.
