Beth Lorraine Klamm, 99, of Watford City, N.D., passed away Oct. 9, 2021, at the Good Shepherd Home. She was born July 20, 1922, to Lee and Rose (Hamak) Wagner in Loyalton, S.D. She graduated from Ipswich High School, attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., for one year and attended Wesleyan College in Marion, Ind., for 2½ years.
Lorraine first visited the Johnson Corners/Watford City area in 1947 as a song evangelist for revival services. She met John Klamm during that visit. They were married on June 15, 1948, in Ipswich, S.D. They returned to Watford City, N.D., and settled on the Klamm farm. They welcomed daughter, Resa Lorraine on March 10, 1951, and son, Paul John on March 10, 1954. They were married almost 35 years when John passed away on May 9, 1983. Lorraine remained on the farm next to son Paul and daughter-in-law Connie until 2007 when she moved into an assisted living facility in Watford City.
Lorraine worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several businesses, Dakamont Motors for a number of years, and 20 years for the ASC and SCS offices. She also worked as a secretary for 16 years at Johnson Corners Christian Academy.
She was a member of Johnson Corners Wesleyan Church where she served as a pianist and organist, Sunday school teacher, and church secretary. She loved Jesus Christ as her Savior and was faithful in her Bible reading and prayer.
Lorraine loved watching basketball and was an avid Watford City Wolves fan. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She always had cookies and cinnamon rolls ready to share when her family stopped for a visit.
