Betty Fridley

Betty Ann Fridley passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Country House, Dickinson, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
Betty Ann was born on Jan. 31, 1942, in Dickinson, N.D., to John and Elizabeth (Kraiter) Pavlish. Betty Ann attended school in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School 1960. She was united in marriage to Fred Fridley on June 13, 1964. The couple was blessed with three children, Nancy, Fred Jr., and Guy. They made their home in Dickinson until 1966 when they moved to Fessenden. The family relocated to Watford City in 1969 and have made their home there ever since.
Betty Ann worked as secretary for the U.S. Forest Service until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Watford City. Betty Ann enjoyed going to sporting events; especially the Watford City Wolves football games. She served as team mom to countless boys over the years and was always Fred’s biggest fan.
Betty Ann’s world was her three children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. She loved music and was always humming or singing along with music from the ’60s. Betty loved gardening as well as golfing. Betty Ann was very close to her sister Kathy and deeply enjoyed their time together. Her greatest joy was time spent with Fred.
The family would like to thank the staff of Country House for the loving care they provided for their mother.  Betty Ann will be greatly missed by all those who knew her and will be remembered as being beautiful, both inside and out.
Betty Ann is survived by her husband Fred; three children, Nancy (Dave) Knutson, of Minot, N.D., Fred Jr. (Lisa) Bismarck, N.D., and Guy (Amber) Fridley, of Dickinson, N.D.; Seven grandchildren, Ella, Amy, Eden, Eve, Paxton, Ava, and Evylyn; three step-grandchildren, Evan, Eric, and Josh; one sister, Kathy (Mike) Konkel of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and countless relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth; and two brothers, John Pavlish, and Jim (Joann) Pavlish.
Visitation for Betty Ann was from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. MST, Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continued from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. CST at Epiphany Catholic Church, Watford City, N.D., with a Rosary and Vigil service that took place at 7 p.m. CST.
Funeral Mass for Betty Ann Fridley, 75, of Dickinson, N.D., formerly of Watford City, N.D., was 11 a.m. CST Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 ,at Epiphany Catholic Church in Watford City, with Father Brian Gross celebrating. Burial followed in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Country House Residence.
