Coralie Bruegger

Coralie Bruegger, 77, of Watford City, N.D., passed away, Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D.
Coralie Marie (Jore) Bruegger was born Dec. 15, 1940, to Ernest and Esther Jore in Alexander, N.D., at her Grandpa and Grandma Olson’s house.
Coralie was confirmed March 7, 1954, at Keene First Lutheran Church. She attended grade school at the Keogh School and graduated from Watford City High School in 1958. Some of Coralie’s favorite memories included talking about her homestead on the farm, all of the memories made during Christmas and climbing the butte at the farm. She enjoyed gardening, playing Yahtzee and coffee especially with Sharon, baking and making her white chocolate mix for friends and family. Coralie always liked keeping up with what her grandchildren were doing and making numerous phone calls.
She married the love of her life, John Bruegger on July 10, 1959. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Coralie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Esther Jore; in-laws, George and Mary Bruegger; sister in-law, Sandy Jore; and daughter in-law, Debbie St. John.
Left behind to treasure her memory is her loving husband, John Bruegger; children, Kim Skarda and husband Wayne of Keene, Jeff Bruegger of Rapid City, Kris Brenna and husband Gregg of Gilbert, Ariz., Jean Kalberer and husband Jeff of Powell, Wyo.; her six grandchildren, Jessi Skarda (Tom Parchman), Kelli Garton (Travis), Jami Skarda-Craft (Mike), Cody Kalberer (Lexi), Korrie Kalberer and Samantha Brenna; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Parchman; her siblings, Dick Jore and Sharon (Duke) Olson; and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Watford City. Pastor Rob Favorite officiated. Interment was in the Our Redeemer’s Cemetery, northeast of Keene, N.D.
