Curtis Frazee
Curtis Eugene Frazee was born Jan. 11, 1947, to Morris and Olga Frazee of Watford City, N.D. Curt attended Watford City High School, was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout. He was an avid athlete and member of the high school football, wrestling, and track teams. During the summers while in high school and college, he worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the local Watford City swimming pool. Curt graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota in accounting. In 1968 he married his high school sweetheart Maureen Jore at the First Lutheran Church in Watford City.
Curt worked as a CPA for Hennepin County in Minneapolis for many years until his retirement in 2004. He loved to spend time outdoors camping and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He was a proud Vietnam War veteran, having been awarded the Bronze Star and good conduct medals for his participation and actions in the war effort. He proudly displayed the American flag whenever possible and participated in Memorial Day as long as he was able to.
Curtis passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Trinity Health in Minot, N.D.
Curt is survived by his wife, Maureen (Jore) Frazee; daughter, Jennifer Anderson, son-in-law Dean (Watford City) and grandchildren Emilie and Amanda Anderson; daughter, Cynthia McGillivray, son-in-law Michael (Watford City) and grandchildren Abby, Zach, Thad, Brandon, Stephen, Jayden and great-grandchildren; brothers, Clinton, (Bozeman, Mont.) and Clifford with sister-in-law Beverly Frazee (Tucson, Ariz.); sister-in-law, Sharon Luntsford (Pinedale, Wyo.); brother-in-law, Ronald Jore with wife Nina (Billings, Mont.); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Olga and Morris Frazee; mother and father-in-law, Art and Selma Jore; sister-in-law, Dorothy Frazee; and nephew Brian Frazee.
A graveside service for Curtis Frazee was held Thursday, May 7, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Schafer Cemetery in Watford City, N.D. Visitation was also held Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Fulkerson-Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Watford City, N.D.
