Linda Dewey

Linda F. Haugen Dewey (80) was born to Hans and Nora Granlie Haugen in Arnegard on February 2, 1937. She graduated from Arnegard High School in 1954. After high school she worked at the Red Owl Store in Williston where she met the love of her life, Hal J Dewey. They moved to Florida where she and her husband co-founded a successful business; Dewey Painting Co. Inc. Her children continue to operate the business.
Dewey leaves behind in Florida, four loving children: Steve (Elaine) Dewey, Sherri (David) Curington, Mike (Debbie) Dewey, and Hal J (Kim) Dewey. Four grandchildren survive her; Jack, Tyler, Tanner and Jayden. She is also survived by her two sisters; Norene Gorder Bratlien of Williston and Cheryl (Curtis) Bakke of Sandy, Utah as well as her brother Loren (Linda) Haugen of Bismarck and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hal Dewey, her parents Hans and Nora (Art) Haugen Hovde, her sister Holly Stovall; two brothers-in-law; Raymond Gorder and Alvin Bratlien, a half sister Ruth(Harry) Carns, and half-brothers Lawrence, Maurice, Clarence and Harold (Helen) Haugen.
A family service was held at her home in Orlando, Fla. An inurnment is planned in Williston, N.D this coming spring.
