Sigrid Hermanson

Sigrid Hermanson

Sigrid “Siggy” Hermanson, age 73, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the McKenzie County Hospital in Watford City, N.D.
Siggy was born Oct. 7, 1948, to the late Clarence Sorensen and Signe (Rud) Sorensen in Sidney, Mont. She was the oldest of three girls. She attended public schools in Alexander, N.D., and stayed on the family farm as the caregiver for her mom until 1999. On Aug. 14, 1999, she was united in marriage to Conlie Hermanson at the park in Alexander, N.D. He was always “HON” to her.
Siggy loved going for rides around the country, especially to the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park to see the wild horses and bison. She enjoyed many arts and crafts including hand-painted dish towels, paint by number paintings, jigsaw puzzles, and so much more. She loved sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. She never missed a birthday or anniversary and loved spending time with her nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews. As her health declined her love for westerns, horses and rodeos never did. You could call and ask what was going on and she would say Bonanza, The Virginian, or a rodeo on TV. She always had a smile for you when you walked in the door and when she laughed, you would too.
Staying behind to cherish the memories are her husband, Conlie Hermanson, Watford City, N.D.; sisters, Clarice and Milt Madison, Alexander, N.D., Sally Sorensen and Harlan Smith, Casper, Wyo.; nieces, nephews and their families, Trisha (Donnie) Feiring, Harley and Taylor, Beach, N.D., Ryan (Lacey) Madison, Mazie and Tucker, Sidney, Mont., Darcy (Brian) Delaney, Paige, Chet, Ian and Zeke, Alexander, N.D.; and a host of cousins and friends.
Siggy was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Many thanks to all the caregivers at the McKenzie County Hospital and Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.
A celebration of life was held for Siggy on Sunday, July 10 at the Alexander City Park in Alexander, N.D., for family and friends to join together to remember and celebrate Siggy’s life. Private burial services were held at the Sidney Cemetery in Sidney, Mont.
