In the first round of the District 15 Tournament, Alexander matched up with the No. 2 seed New Town Eagles. Alexander made three 3-pointers in the first quarter, including two from Lohgan Hanna. However, New Town’s explosive offense went on a 15-0 run to take a 25-5 lead, and they never looked back. Both offenses cooled off in the second half as New Town coasted to the first round win.
Hanna finished with a game-high 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 4 of 9 on three-pointers. Paige Delaney had 10 rebounds. Freshman Lainey Powell dished out 3 assists and had 2 steals.
Carter Charbonneau had a double-double for New Town with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
