Boys golf team takes 5th place at NW Conference

The Watford City High School boys golf team took fifth place with a team score of 365 to place in fifth place at the Northwest Conference Golf Tournament on Monday, May 10 at the Eagle Ridge Country Club in Williston.
Nick Liebel led the Wolves with a third place finish with a score of 77.
“We placed fifth as a team behind Mohall-Lansford Sherwood (325), Lewis & Clark (326), Stanley (348), and Des Lacs-Burlington (361),” stated Scott Wisness, boys’ head coach. “We look to improve as a team at the Regional Tournament on Friday. Everyone is going to have to step up if we are going to have a shot at making it to State.”
Also scoring for Watford City at the conference tournament were Chris Larsen, 88; Colter Maki, 92; Mitchell Liebel, 108; Alex Hansen, 108; and Kalen Hartel, 109.
