Class A track teams have first face-off
On March 24, the largest track meet of the season so far occurred at the Shelley Ellig Track and Field Complex at NDSU. The meet was so large and so well attended that it had to be divided into two separate events according to David Gumke, head coach of the boys track team.
“The guys did very well and had a good time competing. This meet allowed us to compete against most of the class A teams, which doesn’t happen during the outdoor season until the state meet. Ethan Dennis had a good meet, improving his personal best marks in the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes,” said Gumke.
