The Alexander Comets defeated the Berthold Bombers last Friday, 50-16. The first quarter saw Alexander break the ice with a touchdown and a two-pointer for an 8-0 lead on their home field. The offense exploded in the second and third quarters as Alexander quickly scored 42 points to put the game out of reach.
“The key to any good offensive night always starts up front on the line of scrimmage,” said Alexander head coach, Trey Jacobson. “Our big guys came ready to set the tone, which led to opportunities for our guys running the ball. When you pair good line play with guys running the ball hard, good things happen. Friday night, we witnessed just that, and we’re hoping we can replicate that each and every week from here on out.”
