No. 4 Alexander traveled to Nedrose last Friday evening and picked up their seventh straight win, with a final score of 48-12.

The two teams traded short touchdown runs to start the game. Alexander’s special teams broke the tie when Jadon Champion had a 45-yard kickoff return for touchdown. Jadon added another one-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter to give the Comets a 20-6 lead. Eithen Gillespie scored the first of three second-quarter touchdowns for Alexander as he sprinted into the endzone from 61 yards away. With a comfortable 42-12 lead at halftime, Alexander put it on cruise control in the second half.

“I thought our kids did what it took to win the football game,” said Alexander head coach, Trey Jacobson. “There were phases in the game where I thought we could have been better, but it’s football and it happens. We will continue to look at ourselves in the mirror and continue to put together better performances going forward.”
