Girls golf team takes 17th at State

The Watford City girls golf team closed out its 2011 season with a 17th place finish at the Class B Girls State Golf Tournament at the Dakota Winds Golf Course in Hankinson on May 31 and June 1.
Playing under poor conditions with strong winds and rain, the Wolves carded a team score of 957.
Emilie Anderson led the Wolves with a 25th place finish individually shooting rounds of 109 and 94 to end the tournament with a score of 203.
Rounding out the scores for Watford City golfers was Allison Monsen with scores of 132 and 116, Bessie Schmitz with rounds of 136 and 117, Jayden C. White Owl with scores of 133 and 122, and Sydney Slais with rounds of 133 and 123.
