The Watford City Oilers went 1-1 in last week’s Jr. Gold league action. The Oilers were victorious in Dickinson on Thursday, beating the Outlaws 7-2. On Friday, the Oilers lost to the Crosby Comets 1-9.
On Thursday, the Oilers started by scoring early, but didn’t get into their groove until the second period. Rhylan Olson scored the Oilers first goal less than two minutes into the first period off a pass up the boards and out of the defensive zone from Hunter Erwin. About halfway through the period, the Outlaws tied it up and it stayed 1-1 until the second period.
