Lady Wolves pick up third win with stifling defense

Watford City forced 30 turnovers as they beat Stanley 72-47 on the road on Tuesday night. The 72 points was the most the Wolves have scored so far this year as they shot an impressive 60 percent on their field goal attempts.
“We want to play good defense and create some turnovers,” said Watford City head coach, Tom Dwyer. “The main priority is just playing fundamental defense. All five players need to be cohesive and complimentary. But we are hoping to use some of our depth to press and hopefully create some turnovers. We don’t want to gamble too much and create disadvantages for us, but hopefully just wear the other team down.”
