Watford City got off to a slow start against Bismarck Legacy and never got back into the contest as the Wolves fell to the Sabres, 88-47, on Friday, Dec. 10.
“We got down, 11-0, early, but did get ourselves going by getting to the free-throw line,” stated Dave Gumke, boys head coach.
While the Wolves trailed Legacy by 10 to 12 points during much of the first half, the Sabres began opening up their lead in the final four minutes of the half.
While the loss was a hard one for the Wolves, Gumke says the team’s defense is much improved.
