Watford City’s Ricki Lindley has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete with the South Dakota State University track and field program. Lindley, a Watford City High School senior, was one of 19 student-athletes who was part of the Jackrabbits’ 2016-17 recruiting class.
During her high school career, Lindley qualified for the State Track and Field Meet four times in the triple jump, winning the event in 2012 and 2015, while taking second in 2013 and 2014. Lindley also placed at State in the long jump with a seventh place finish in 2012 and a fourth place finish in 2015. She also was part of the Wolves’ 800 meter relay teams that took eighth at State in 2014 and 2015 and was a State qualifier in the 100 meter dash in 2015.
“We are very excited to welcome these student-athletes to the Jackrabbit family,” 15-year Head Coach Rod DeHaven said. “Our coaches and athletes have done a great job this year in conveying what SDSU has to offer. We are a much more complete team with the addition of these athletes. Although the early signing period is over our recruiting continues, and we expect to add to our list of outstanding student-athletes.”
