Oilers Jr. Gold 2-1 for the week
The Watford City Oilers Jr. Gold went 2-1 at home this week. The Oilers lost to Hazen on Tuesday 3-5, beat Northwood on Friday 11-5, and beat West Fargo on Saturday 4-3 in overtime.
On Tuesday, the Oilers took on the Hazen-Beulah North Stars in non-conference action. The Oilers started the scoring when Cody Reeves found the back of the net after good puck movement on a power play. Gavin McCauley had the assist.
Hazen scored the next two goals, including one as time expired to take the 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
