Watford City Walleye compete at State

Kindred Vikings 10, Walleye 0
The Walleye had trouble keeping up with Kindred Vikings in a 10-0 loss on Thursday, Aug.1, 2024.
The Kindred Vikings got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jack Wold singled, Kylan Swanson singled, and Stanley Belskie tripled, each scoring one run.
The Vikings added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Wold hit into a double play, and Swanson singled, each scoring one run.
The Vikings added one run in the third. Xander Roth hit into a fielder’s choice, making the score 6-0.
Owen Hoyme earned the win for the Vikings. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Jordan Doty took the loss for the Walleye. The starting pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on five hits, striking out two and walking two.
