Watford City’s girls track continued to show marked improvement in only their second outdoor meet of the season as the Wolves qualified for four more events at the Bismarck Invitational last Friday.
Hayley Ogle qualified in two more events for the state meet as she took  third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.46, while posting the fastest time so far in the state with 1:00.19 to win the 400 meter dash.
Also qualifying for state was Annie Dennis with a first place finish in the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 16.08, and Jaelyn Ogle with a third place finish in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 5:26.69.
“In spite of the 20-plus mph winds and cooler temperatures our girls did well,” stated Richard Rust, girls head coach. “I was so proud of all the girls and how hard they competed. Each one is working hard and improving each week. We hope to see some great improvement and continued results throughout the season.”
