WC Phillies fall short in District Finals

The Surrey Blue Sox defeated the Phillies 14-4 Monday July 22.
The Phillies got on the board in the first inning after Carter Branstrom doubled, scoring one run.
The Surrey Blue Sox jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Kanoa Munos doubled, Andrew Eby hit a sacrifice fly, and the Phillies committed an error, each scoring one run.
The Surry Blue Sox added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Will Mayo doubled, and the Phillies committed an error, each scoring one run.
Braylen Tolbert began the game for the Phillies. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and three runs (two earned) over one-third inning, striking out none and walking two. Wolf led things off on the hill for the Surrey Blue Sox. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs m(two earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking two.
