WC Phillies lose two, win one

Froid Bulls 9, Phillies 8
The Phillies fell to Froid Bulls 9-8 Monday, July 1, on the final play of the game despite leading 4-0 in the third.
The Phillies jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Joseph Brothers singled, scoring two runs, and Carter Branstrom grounded out, scoring one run.
The Phillies added one run in the third. Rylen Petersen singled on the sixth pitch of the at-bat, making the score 4-0.
The Bulls made the score 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh after a player doubled, scoring three runs, and another player singled, scoring one run.
Brandon Spacher started on the mound for the Phillies. They surrendered nine hits and six runs (five earned) over six innings, striking out 10 and walking four. Braylen Tolbert took the loss for the Phillies. The righty went two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits,striking out one and walking two.
