Wolves Baseball continues winning streak

Watford City Varsity Wolves snatched the lead late in their 4-1 victory over Ray last Thursday.
Hunter Cowen struck out 13 batters on the day. The right-hander also surrendered one hit and one run over five innings while walking two.
Ray opened the scoring in the fourth after an error scored one run.
The Wolves jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run, and a steal of home scored three runs.
Brandon Spacher pitched two innings of shutout ball for the Wolves in relief. The right-hander gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
Braylen Tolbert led the team with one run batted in. Landon Ledahl led the Wolves with two hits in three at bats. Paco Baldenegro, Ledahl, and Isaiah Leahy each stole multiple bases for the Wolves. The Wolves stole a total of 11 bases in the game.

In game two the Watford City Wolves were triumphant over Ray 4-3.
Ray jumped out in the lead at the top of the first inning with a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scoring one run.
The Wolves captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the first after Landon Ledahl walked, Wolves scored on a wild pitch, Ray committed an error, and the Wolves scored on another wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Griffon Signalness earned the win for the Wolves. The left-hander allowed zero hits and three runs over one inning, striking out two and walking three.
Kieron Tolbert led the team with one run batted in. Paco Baldenegro went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead the Wolves hits. Joseph Brothers stole two bases. The Wolves were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Baldenegro made the most plays with five.
