Wolves Baseball have a tough week

Bismarck got on the board in the first inning after one run scored on another play.
Bismarck scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Drew Taylor tripled, scoring one run, Gage Granberg homered to left field, scoring two runs, Aidan Rukowski singled, scoring one run, and Tanner Groseclose tripled, scoring two runs.
Rukowski earned the win for Bismarck. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Hunter Cowan took the loss for the Watford City Wolves. The right-hander went three and two-thirds innings, giving up seven runs and seven hits, striking out one and walking three.
Brandon Spacher, Landon Ledahl, and Trysten Devries each collected one hit for the Watford City Wolves.

In game two the Watford City Wolves were the first to get on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run.
Bismarck captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first after Grady Swanson walked, Drew Taylor laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Taylor stole home, each scoring one run.
Bismarck added one run in the third after Taylor singled down the right field line.
Noah LoFberg earned the win for Bismarck. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one. Brandon Spacher took the loss for the Watford City Wolves. The starting pitcher went five innings, giving up six runs on three hits, striking out three and walking four.
Carter Branstrom, Braylen Tolbert, and Harper Moberg each collected one hit for the Watford City Wolves.

The Watford City Wolves couldn’t keep up with Williston and fell 12-2 last Thursday.
Williston opened the scoring in the first inning after Eden Mortenson singled, scoring one run.
The Watford City Wolves jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Carter Branstrom doubled, and Paco Baldenegro singled to left field, each scoring one run.
In the top of the second inning, Williston went back into the lead after Chase Collings was struck by a pitch, Mortenson was struck by a pitch, and Collin McCuistlon walked, each scoring one run.
Williston scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Bridger Johnson doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs, and Jaxon Tamez grounded out, scoring one run.
Collings earned the win for Williston. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none. Landon Ledahl pitched three and one-third innings in relief for the Wolves. The right-handed pitcher gave up five hits and eight runs while, striking out none and walking none. Braylen Tolbert took the loss for the Wolves. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on two hits, striking out none and walking five.
Branstrom and Baldenegro were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for the Wolves. Branstrom, Baldenegro, and Ledahl each collected one hit for the Wolves.

Even though the Wolves collected seven hits to Williston’s four, they still fell 8-3. Paco Baldenegro led the Wolves with two hits.
Williston extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second with an RBI doubles by Bridger Johnson and Justin Irgens.
Irgens earned the win for Williston. The hurler allowed six hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. Trysten Devries pitched three innings in relief for the Wolves. He gave up two hits and three runs while, striking out two and walking four. Isaiah Leahy took the loss for the Wolves. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing four runs on two hits, striking out one and walking two.
Brandon Spacher and Josh Chavez each drove in one run for the Wolves. The Wolves stole four bases in the game.

The Wolves effort to come back from down four runs in the seventh inning came up short, as they fell 7-6 to Sidney on Saturday.
The Wolves tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a fielder’s choice by Landon Ledahl, and a double by Carter Branstrom.
Hunter Cowen took the loss for the Wolves. The hurler went six innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking five.
The Wolves collected nine hits in the game. Ledahl led the Wolves with two hits in four at bats. Branstrom, Ledahl, and Josh Chavez each drove in one run for the Wolves. Branstrom, Braylen Tolbert, Paco Baldenegro, Harper Moberg, Chavez, and Isaiah Leahy each stole multiple bases for the Wolves.

In game two, Josh Chavez collected three hits in three at bats, as the Wolves defeated Sidney 17-2. Chavez singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.
The Wolves got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sidney dropped a third strike, Harper Moberg doubled to center field, Paco Baldenegro singled to center field, Braylen Tolbert grounded out, Chavez singled to center field, and Kieron Tolbert walked, each scoring one run.
The Wolves scored five runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Isaiah Leahy doubled, scoring one run, Chavez singled, scoring one run, Tolbert singled, scoring two runs, and one run scored on another play.
The Wolves added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Baldenegro tripled to center field, Chavez singled to center field, and Carter Branstrom grounded out, each scoring one run.
Brandon Spacher earned the win for the Wolves. He surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking five. Landon Ledahl threw one inning of scoreless ball for the Wolves in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking none.
Baldenegro and Chavez each collected three hits for the Wolves. Baldenegro and Chavez each drove in three runs for the Wolves. Moberg, Ledahl, and Tolbert each collected multiple hits for the Wolves. Ledahl and Chavez each stole multiple bases.
