Wolves Baseball wins one lose three

Watford City 4, Dickinson 13
Watford City Wolves couldn’t keep up with Dickinson and fell 13-4 last Tuesday.
A single by Tyler Danbom on a full count put Dickinson on the board in the top of the first.
Dickinson added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Brady Hecker doubled to center field, the Wolves committed an error, and Christian Tibor singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one.
Liam Raab earned the win for Dickinson. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Paco Baldenergro took the loss for the Wolves. The starter went three innings, surrendering six runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out two and walking two.
Braylen Tolbert provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Wolves with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Trysten Devries went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Wolves in hits.
Hecker drove the middle of the lineup, leading Dickinson with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Kyler Kidrna led Dickinson with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Cameron Kubas, Nick Sobolik, Kudrna, Will Easum, and Hecker each stole multiple bases for Dickinson.

In game two, the Wolves had trouble keeping up with Dickinson in a 19-1 loss on Tuesday.
Dickinson jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Cam Wolf Doubled, scoring two runs, Easton Hugelen singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Camden Kubas tripled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and an error scored one run.
A wild pitch extended the Dickinson lead to 11-1 in the top of the second inning.
Dickinson extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI doubles by Kolby Fasthorse and Hugelen.
Jake Balliet earned the win for Dickinson. Thr hurler surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Josh Chavez pitched three innings in relief for Watford City. The hurler gave up seven hits and five runs (two earned) while, striking out none and walking none. Isaiah Leahy took the loss for Watford City. The starter went one-third of an inning, giving up six runs on two hits, striking out none and walking three. Jack Price stepped on the hill first for Dickinson. The hurler allowed one hit and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking two.
Paco Baldenegro led Watford City with one hit in two bats. Baldenegro stole two bases. Watford City turned two double plays in the game.
Dickinson accumulated 12 hits in the game. Kubas and Hugelen each collected three hits for Dickinson. Hugelen led Dickinson with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 3-for-3 on the day. Kubas, Kyler, Kudrna, and Wolf each stole multiple bases for Dickinson. Dickinson stole 12 bases in the game. Dickinson were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Christian Tibor made the most plays with six.

Watford City took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Century. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the eighth when Isaiah Leahy singled, scoring one run.
Century got on the board in the first inning after Joey Kraljic doubled, scoring one run.
Watford City jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Josh Chavez doubled down the left field line, and Braylen Tolbert tripled to right field, each scoring one run.
Watford City added one run in the second. Leahy grounded out, making the score 3-1.
Jordan Klein doubled to center field, which helped Century tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.
The Wolves took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Brandon Spacher doubled, scoring one run, to give Watford City the leg up, 4-3.
A wild pitch gave Watford City the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the sixth.
Jaxon Herrmann doubled to center field, which helped Century tie the game at five in the top of the seventh.
Hunter Cowan earned the win for Watford City. The hurler surrendered 11 hits and five runs (one earned) over eight innings, striking out two and walking none. Jordan Merkel took the loss for Century. The hurler went two and one-third innings, giving up two runs (zero earned) on two hits, striking out three and walking one

Watford City amassed nine hits in the game. Harper Moberg and Chavez each collected two hits for Watford City. Spacher, Chavez, Tolbert and Leahy each drove in one run for Watford City.
