Watford City 79,
New Town 60

The Wolves traveled to New Town last Tuesday night, and beat the Eagles on their Senior Night. Both teams led by as many as seven points during a fast-paced and high-scoring first half. “I think our kids had a lot of confidence coming in knowing we didn’t play well against them the first time,” said Watford City head coach, Justin Hager. “New Town is a good team, but also I think we have improved since the last time we played. We took better care of the ball and shot 18-for-22 from the line which was huge for us. I felt we controlled the tempo of the game and got the ball in the paint. We are an inside out team. When we establish a low post game and get points in the paint, we are so much better because it opens up everything else for us. The ball changed sides of the floor as well which is important to shooting a higher percentage. The ball didn’t stick which is important for us to continually improve on.”
