Wolves fall to Hazen in football season opener

Watford City got off to a slow start in its first football game of the season as the Wolves fell to Hazen, 40-14, in non-conference action on Friday, Aug. 27.
Hazen jumped out to a 27-0 halftime lead before Watford City would score touchdowns in each of the last two quarters.
The Wolves would get on the scoreboard early in the third quarter on an 11-yard run by Dakota Cluchie with Kanyon Tschetter converting the PAT. Watford City’s final score would come in the fourth quarter as Judd Johnsrud completed a seven-yard pass to Jason Hogue with Tschetter adding the extra point.
