Sidney 66 Watford City 39
The visiting Sidney Eagles used an impressive second quarter to defeat Watford City last Tuesday night. Chace Waters scored a game-high 22 points to help secure Sidney’s fourth victory of the season.
“Sidney’s post and guard play made them a difficult matchup for our defense,” said Watford City head coach, David Gumke. “Waters was very active, strong and difficult to guard. He was always in a good position to be very effective. The guards are also difficult to guard. We allowed too many straight line drives to the basket. We played zone defense for most of the game. When we went man-to-man we had difficulty. In the fourth quarter, I said, ‘We are playing man defense to work on keeping guys in front.’”
