Watford City traveled up north and picked up their first WDA win of the season 64-53 over Williston last week.
The shorthanded Wolves only had seven players available for the game, but they played well and picked up the road win. Jessica Mogen was the star of the night with 44 points (single-game school record) and 20 rebounds in 35 minutes.
Head coach Tom Dwyer said, “We played better team basketball. Everyone was communicating more and being more aware of when to help and rotate on defense. Offensively, we did a better job of moving without the ball. We set better screens for each other, and we did a good job of cutting more effectively. This allowed us to move the ball more and helped free up our post game. And then we did a good job of seeing who was open and making the pass inside.”
