Wolves roll over Bottineau Braves to improve to 5-0

The Watford City girls basketball team kept its winning streak intact as the Wolves defeated the Bottineau Braves, 54-35, on Dec. 29.
With the win, the Wolves improved their season record to 5-0.
This week, the Wolves will be at Beulah on Saturday and then host Tioga at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

Alexis Sanford drained three three-pointers as she scored 11 points to pace Watford City in scoring as the Wolves picked up their fifth straight win of the season defeating the Bottineau Braves, 54-35, last Wednesday.
After playing a hard-fought first half, the Wolves blew the game wide open in the third quarter to coast to the win.
The Wolves led the Braves 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, and then posted an eight-point, 28-20, lead at halftime. Watford City then slammed the door shut on Bottineau in the third quarter as the Wolves went on a 21-6 scoring spree.
Joining Sanford in double figure scoring was Brianna Allex and Dani Bates with 10 points each.
Rounding out the scoring for Watford City was McKayla Haugeberg, Sadie Kieson and Jayme Johnson with six points each, while Marti Quale would end the game with five points.
