Wolves wrestlers headed to Iowa

Three Watford City wrestlers will represent North Dakota at the USAW National Duals in Des Moines Iowa in April. Cora Sorenson will wrestle 100lbs for the North Dakota girls team. Cora Sorenson says “The pain you feel today, is the strength you’ll feel tomorrow.” Grady Greenhaw will wrestle 95 pounds, Grady Greenhaw says, “Wrestling is not a sport, it’s a way of life.” and Blake Polivka will be at 55 pounds for the K-6th grade North Dakota team. Blake Polivka says “Winners aren’t people who never lose; winners are people who never give up.”


All wrestlers earned this honor by placing in the top two at the North Dakota Team Dual qualifier in Bismarck on February 28.
On March 7, the Watford City Youth wrestlers competed in the Dual Tournament held in Minot. They earned 2nd place. Their next competition will be in Mandan on March 21.
