PATRICE'S PERSPECTIVE

This week you may notice some fun window decorations on Watford City’s Main Street. In true Watford City fashion, businesses are geared up to show their support to our local athletes in hopes to hype them up for their big Homecoming Week. Some of your local merchants are even dressing up just as the student body is in order to show off their hometown spirit. It is definitely worth checking out this week, even if you don’t have “Wolves Gear” of your own. You can be sure to find some on Main Street or in the Wolves Den.
This Thursday, our very own Wolves volleyball team will kick off the Homecoming match ups as they take on Dickinson starting at 7 p.m. at the Rough Rider Center. When was the last time you took in a high school volleyball game? If you cannot remember, I highly recommend you go this week and cheer on these girls. Once you are in the stands surrounded by all the fans, parents and students, you can’t help but join in the fun of cheering on each and every member of the team. You tense up waiting to see if the setter has positioned the ball just right in order for a solid spike over the net past the defense and when it does, all of the sudden you are on your feet, waving your hands in the air almost uncontrollably while screaming “Yesssssss!” Then instinctively you are chanting Go-Go Wolves with the rest of the crowd. Trust and believe you will have a good time.
