Latest study shows McKenzie County as the third largest recipient of oil and tax distributions

While McKenzie County is one of the most prominent areas in North Dakota being recognized as the third largest recipient to oil and gas distributions, according to the latest data released by North Dakota’s Oil and Gas Study, every person in the state of North Dakota can benefit from the tax revenue generated by the energy industry.
Last week, the North Dakota Petroleum Foundation and Western Dakota Energy Association shared the study’s results at a news conference at the Memorial Hall of the State Capitol Building in Bismarck.
