After being closed for remodeling, the Little Missouri Grille, formerly Ginny’s Family Restaurant, will have new owners, new menu items and a whole new look.
New owners MaLissa Schroeder and Shelley Suelzle have spent the past week working tirelessly getting the restaurant ready to open as the Little Missouri Grille.
“We’re going to have a whole new look,” says Suelzle. “You’ll notice changes from floor to ceiling throughout the entire restaurant.”
Schroeder and Suelzle decided to purchase the restaurant because they were looking for a change and they saw a need in the community for longer restaurant hours.
“We’ve both owned and operated businesses before and we really saw a need for later restaurant hours in Watford City,” says Schroeder. “With both of us looking for a change, we saw this as a good opportunity.”
The Little Missouri Grille will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with meal options for everyone.
“We’re going to have meals on the fly for those people who grab breakfast and lunch on their way to work each morning, as well as unique items for those eating in,” adds Suelzle.
According to Suelzle, breakfast wraps and cold sandwiches will be available for those people looking for something on the go, as well as an array of wraps and sandwiches for their eat-in customers.
“We plan to have more than your traditional burger,” comments Suelzle. “We have added wraps to the menu for people looking for something a little lighter. We will also have a special dinner menu including Prime Rib every Friday and a Breakfast Buffet on Sundays. All of our meat will be purchased locally so everything will be fresh.”
With lots of remodeling in the works, Suelzle and Schroeder are hopeful that the restaurant will be open by Thursday, Nov. 5, or at the latest, the following weekend.
“Our main goal right now is to get everything running smoothly,” says Suelzle. “Once we have everything going the way we want it, we plan to add some special menu items that aren’t available anywhere else in town.”
With new owners, a new look and some new menu items, the Little Missouri Grille is definitely going to be worth checking out.
