State sees slight growth in oil production

During the October 2023 Director’s Cut address by the Director of the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, Lynn Helms, the official July production numbers were released, along with preliminary numbers for August and September.
In July, there were 70 permitted wells, with preliminary numbers showing an increase in August to 87 wells. There was a rig count of 37 which, according to preliminary numbers, held steady for both August and September as well.
