Oiler girls pick up two wins in hockey action

The Watford City Girls 19U hockey team had a busy home weekend as the Oilers took on the Wahpeton Blades, West Fargo and the Fargo Freeze.
The girls downed the Blades 8-1 on Friday and then beat West Fargo 3-0 on Saturday. The Oilers’ winning streak ended on Sunday as Watford City fell to the Fargo Freeze 3-2.
Scoring for the Oilers this weekend was Bridget Allex with three goals and six assists, Abby McCauly with six goals and two assists, Sheridan Johnson with one goal and two assists, Totiana Miller with one goal and two assists, Tessa Dwyer with two goals and two assists and Teddy Dwyer with one assist
Goalie Cheyanne Boots had 79 saves in the net for the Oilers.
The girls hockey team will be finishing out its regular season this weekend with away games against Sidney on Thursday and two make up games that were postponed due to weather, in Langdon and Park River on Saturday and Sunday.
The Girls 19U State Tournament will be held in Fargo Feb. 28 through March 2.
