idered “controversial” these days. It’s like a leftist woke mob is searching for some reason to pounce on anyone that dares to speak about what they believe. And it’s not enough to just disagree with those outspoken voices who dare to speak, they must be cancelled! The latest target is Harrison Butker, a kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is a devout Catholic who recently gave the commencement address at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, which is a Catholic college. Butker spoke about things you’d expect a Catholic speaker to say before a group of Catholic graduates, sharing his views on the dignity of life, masculinity and motherhood. Here are the words that triggered the onslaught of criticism:
“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. You should be proud of all that you have achieved to this point in your young lives. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”
