A fresh start for local school students

If there’s one thing that everyone loves, it’s a fresh start. This fall, students and staff of McKenzie County Public School District No.1 (MCPSD) will get to experience that.
After COVID-19 hit in March 2020, students, staff and their families were forced to recalibrate their entire lives as they grappled with the newly implemented changes that came in the blink of an eye.
“It was really a new dynamic for us. As far as the perfect storm of things last year, we didn’t know what would happen,” says Steve Holen, McKenzie County Public School District No.1 superintendent.
