Alexander Public School District kicks off

“Really, our unwritten motto is that it takes a village and we are the village,” says Leslie Bieber, Alexander Public School District superintendent.
And the village has grown. As Alexander Public School District (APSD) kicked off its first day of school on Aug. 17, it saw its enrollment numbers increase by nearly 10 percent with a total of 323 students compared to last year’s 289 students.
“That motto started when there was as low as 48 kids and as we’ve built, we’ve really strived to keep ahold of that no matter what growth we have. And fortunately we’ve been able to maintain it,” Bieber says.
With the growth that APSD has seen in recent years, the facility is now in the early phase of expansion, so it can continue to tailor the many different needs of its student body.
