Alexander students to perform in Johnny Appleseed

Every year around this time, the children of Alexander Public School can be found throughout the hallways of school getting stir-crazy as they wait for the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s (MCT) red pickup to pull into the school’s parking lot. That’s because the students know that when the pickup arrives carrying MCT’s performers, their fun is just about to begin.
Alexander students along with MCT staff will be presenting ‘Johnny Appleseed’ on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Alexander Public School.
“They’re coming into our school for a week and working with our students. At the end of the week, they’re putting on a performance,” says Michelle Simonson, organizer.
Auditions began on Monday, Oct. 28, with as many as 50-60 children practicing in two-hour intervals as they brush up on their skills for the big performance.
