Badlands RC Track coming to Watford

While Watford City has never been a prominent place for racing to take place, that could very well change for those who like racing remote control (RC) cars. On Oct. 1, the Badlands RC Track, located near the new McKenzie County Athletic Park, will become available for the community.
“It creates another safe, fun place for kids and family to enjoy something that we don’t have around here,” says Rob McCree, president of Badlands RC Club.
With an RC track in Mandan and Jamestown, Watford City will make the third location in North Dakota.
“What made it special to me is my grandsons have RC cars,” says Roger Maki, a local resident and vice president of Badlands RC Club.
After taking his grandsons to the RC track in Mandan, Maki says he was sold.
