Christian pastor, actor to visit Watford City

“I can hardly wait. It’s been a long time coming,” says Pastor Barb Becker, Glory of the Lord Family Ministires, of the special guest appearance of Camy “Cameron” and BJ Arnett on Saturday, April 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m.
When Becker attended a conference on behalf of an Oklahoma City prayer network she ran into Arnett and his wife, who were there representing the Hollywood Prayer Network.
“I saw him and thought, this man has got to be a pastor,” says Becker, of watching Arnett in ‘Treasure Lies.’ “Nobody could carry that heart without having an experience like that in their own lives.”
As Becker’s gut instinct turned out to be right, it wasn’t hard to figure it out, she says.
“I told him, you’re a pastor, aren’t you? He goes, how did you know? I said, nobody can preach a beautiful sermon the way you did without having that heart,” says Becker.
It was Arnett’s most recent movies, ‘The Overcomer,’ that Becker says landed him on her radar.
“It’s one of the most powerful messages. It’s about restoration and redemption,” says Becker. “Out of all the movies I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, I think it impacted me more than any other because of the hope of the future.”
