Whether there was a time when parents had total assurance that their child(ren) could have fun while being perfectly safe hard to say, but that is the goal for the McKenzie County Community Coalition (MCCC) as it continues to create events and opportunities that cater to teens, pre-teens and essentially, the whole family.
Events like the MCCC’s Teen Night Pool Party, which will be held on Feb. 24, at Watford City’s Rough Rider Center, will feature pool inflatables, and be tailored toward high school students.
“This pool party is one of multiple events that we have with the Rough Rider Center where they use their staff and resources to partner with us in hosting an event, creating opportunities for youth and families to do without alcohol,” says Miranda Samuelson-Figaro, McKenzie County Community Coalition grant coordinator.
