County signs first road use agreement with Continental Resources

A new road use agreement has been pioneered by McKenzie County officials in an effort to allow companies to continue regular operations despite road weight restrictions imposed during inclement weather and spring thaws.
Under the agreement, a company can be exempt from any of the county’s Spring Frost Law weight restrictions or inclement weather restrictions on previously designated portions of the county’s roads. This means that a company can still use the roads even if the county has issued weight limit restrictions that would otherwise force the company to shut down regular operations.
