Elliot becomes USDA’s ‘School Lunch Champ’

Since way back when, food service workers, more commonly referred to as “lunch ladies,” have always been essential. So much so, that oftentimes, it may be easy for them to forget just how much they serve as a cornerstone to a school’s community.
In an effort to make sure that is not the case, the USDA Food Nutrition Service recently nominated five food service workers in the Mountain (Northern) Plains region and Becky Elliot, Alexander Public School food service director, was amongst the five nominees chosen as a ‘School Lunch Champion.’
