In the most contested race in McKenzie County on the June 14 Primary Election ballot, county voters will be deciding which four of the five candidates running for two open seats on the board of county commissioners will be advancing to the November General Election.
Howdy Lawlar and Kathy Skarda will both be seeking to be re-elected, while they are being challenged by Tommy Glover, Thomas McCabe and Dustin Newman.
The top four vote-getters in the June 14 Primary Election will advance to the Nov. 8 General Election.
As part of the McKenzie County Farmer’s coverage of the upcoming election, the candidates were asked to complete a questionnaire to gain their insight into the challenges facing the commissioners in the coming years  and why they are running for office.
