Fredericks advances to semifinal

As contestants from the first heat of NBC’s ‘American Song Contest’ took the stage for the first episode on March 21, it was hard to say which of the acts from 56 states and territories throughout the country would make the cut and continue.
Comprised of three rounds taking place over the course of eight weeks, the acts representing the states of Texas, Louisiana, New Jersey, Alabama, Florida, Alaska and other regions went head to head in the first episode to compete in a series of qualifying rounds followed by the semifinals and an ultimate grand finale where one winner will take all.
