The Watford City Lions Club is hosting its 12th annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16, at the Tourist Park from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. At no charge to the public, families are invited to join in the Easter fun and excitement.
“The event starts at 10 a.m. and the actual Egg Hunt starts at 10:30 a.m.,” says Stefanie Russell, with the Watford City Lions Club.
The Easter Egg Hunt was originally managed by the Jaycees for many years. When that organization dissolved, it was then picked up by several individuals and led by Bekki Larson. Later, it was turned over to the Watford City Lions Club, who has now been doing it for 12 years.
“I’m actually excited that we’re having it at the Tourist Park. There’s a lot more space and we’re able to separate the age groups,”  she says.
By having enough space to spread out, Russell says the little kids won’t get run over by the big kids.
